Monk Made Beverage Company Spreads Awareness for National Diabetes Awareness Month

Monk Made raised awareness for National Diabetes Month. All our company’s posts have been centered around diabetes awareness, facts, promotions, etc. We posted every week about this disease on our social media accounts. Monk Made provides beverages that can be consumed by those affected by this disease, while having no effect on their blood sugar; so, we really wanted to take part in raising awareness. On World Diabetes Day, our whole entire company dressed in blue for diabetes prevention.

Healthy Habits That Effectively Prevent Diabetes

If you cut back on the amount of sugar or refined carbs you consume, you can reduce your risk of diabetes. Performing physical activity on a regular basis may help prevent diabetes as well. Water should be your primary beverage because it is by far the most natural beverage you can drink. This may help control blood sugar and insulin levels. Following a ketogenic or very-low-carb diet can help keep blood sugar and insulin levels under control too.

Getting plenty of fiber can improve gut health and weight management. Consuming foods high in vitamin D or taking supplements can help optimize vitamin D blood levels, which is important for blood sugar control. Minimizing processed foods and focusing on whole foods with protective effects on health may help decrease the risk of diabetes. Drinking coffee or tea may help reduce blood sugar levels and increase insulin sensitivity. Lastly, the herbs curcumin and berberine increase insulin sensitivity, reduce blood sugar levels and may help prevent diabetes. Hopefully, the information in this blog post has been a motivator for making changes that can help reduce your risk.

Monk Made Beverage Company Wishes You a Happy Holidays

Monk Made Beverage Company is celebrating the holidays during the month of December by giving back to the community. Our company adopted a little girl in our community from a Sexual Assault Treatment Center who is in need of holiday gifts. A wish list was given to our team by the little girl. Our team has already purchased her most wanted item, a drone. Each member of Monk Made is donating money so that we will be able to give the young girl everything else that she wished for. We will also be spreading holiday joy on our social media accounts.

Refresh your mind. Refuel your body. Quench your thirst.
